પરમ પૂજ્ય શ્રી જલારામ બાપા ની હયાતી માં ગોપાલ જોષી એ આ પરજ પદ (ભજન) બનાવેલ

Once Gopal Joshi, the Gor (Priest) of Lohana Community had been suffering from paralysis for the last fifteen years. He came to Virpur and paid the obeisance to Jalaram Bapa. Seeing the Gor bowing down before Jalaram Bapa, instantly, Bapa in return touched his feet and took his pradakshana. Then Jala Bapa said,”Gor Bapa, not you, but I am paying obeisance to you. You see, I am just an ordinary person like any other being”. Then Bapa took his as a guest, allowed him to stay in the Ashram for few days and asked the Gor Maharaj to worship God and feed sadhus. Soon, Gor Maharaj recovered and was able to walk and speak properly. So he composed a song praising the Jalaram Bapa. Bapa responded by saying “Please stop this non sense! Sing only the virtues of God, not of mine!” Such a selfless soul was Jalaram Bapa!

મારી સુરતા માં લેજો રે સંભાર જલારામ જોગી રે

એવા દિન તણા છો દયાળ ભક્તિ ના ભોગી રે

ગુરુજી વીરપુર માં કીધો વીસરામ સાચા રે સત ઘારી

જેવા ગંગા યમુના ના નિર એવા છો નર ને નારી

ગુરુજી વૈરાગી ને રે વેષ નાથ ને તમે નીરખ્યા

માન્યો ભોજલ ગુરુ નો ઉપદેશ પુરણ નર ને પારખ્યા

ગુરુજી સાધુ ને રૂપે કિરતાર આવ્યા છે તમ દવારે

જેને નવ કીધો નહાર સોંપ્યા છે નિજ નારી

ગુરુજી ધન્ય રે સતિ નો અવતાર સાધુ ને સંગ ચાલ્યા

એવા પાળેલા પિયુજી ના બોલ હુકમ લઈ ને હાલ્યા

ગુરુજી ધરતી માં જેવી તમારી ધીર એવી વૃતિ ઘારી

માતા વિરલબાઇ ના શ્યામ તમ પર જાઉં વારી

ગુરુજી કરમ ધરમ પ્રતિપાળ અરજી શામભળજો રે

એમ ગાય છે જોષી રે ગોપાલ મહારાજ અમને મળજો રે..
